Adfactors PR ropes in Arun Kumar & Suman Layak for strategic communications team

Mumbai: Adfactors PR has beefed up its strategic communications practice with two senior hires – Arun Kumar, former Senior Editor – Mergers and Acquisitions at The Economic Times; and Suman Layak, former Senior Editor with ET Magazine, the Sunday Edition of The Economic Times.

The Strategic Communications Group provides C-Suite counsel for a wide range of corporate situations. The mandates of this group are characterised by high stakes, urgency and uncertainty – working at the confluence of media, markets and advocacy.

Kumar will be based in Delhi and as Senior Vice-President will be part of the national Strategic Communications Group. He has previously worked with Hindustan Times and Business Standard, covered corporate finance across sectors, including banking, finance, large and medium-sized corporates across sectors.

Layak, a journalist with 24 years of experience covering large Indian conglomerates, multinationals, other Indian companies, has joined the Mumbai office as Vice-President in the Reputation practice that serves key Tata Group companies among other sector leaders in many areas. He has previously worked with Hindustan Times and Business Today. As a journalist, he followed multi-disciplinary areas, including Manufacturing, Corporate/Legal, NBFC, Real Estate, and Information Technology. He has also covered political and social developments along with education and social entrepreneurship.
